Bereaved Mothers’ Day Brunch/Luncheon on Sunday, May 4, 2025
This casual bereaved mothers’ luncheon is sponsored by the Josh Rojas Foundation on the first Sunday in May, which is known as International Bereaved Mother’s Day. You are welcome to mingle, share, ask questions or simply spend time with other mothers who know exactly how you are feeling. Somehow just spending time with someone who truly understands, brings comfort, and acknowledges our continuing struggle to survive this loss. Bereaved mothers are asked to RSVP by a chosen date prior to the event. Remember to include your child's name when you RSVP.
2025 Fall Get-Together for Bereaved Mothers, Fathers, and Their Partners: TBD
The next casual Fall Get-Together will be scheduled on a Sunday in the fall of 2025 from Noon-5 pm at location yet to be determined. At this informal gathering, each of us brings a dish to share, and it will be for grieving parents and their partners only. Parents will mingle and share with other grieving parents who truly understand. Parents will be asked to RSVP by the Sunday prior to the event via email to info@joshrojas.org. They will be reminded to include the name(s) of who will be attending, the child's name that will be honored and the food item they are planning to bring. Rain or Shine.

In 2022, our foundation took over the sponsoring of this event and the ceremony is now held at the Resurrection Lutheran Church in Irondequoit, NY. Families and friends who have experienced the death of a child, young adult, sibling, or grandchild are welcome. We find such solace attending, participating in, and sponsoring this observance which is filled with poetry readings, candle lighting, soothing harp music and more. RSVPs are requested by Thursday, December 5, 2024. Each family is asked to bring a framed picture of their child(ren) to display at the Ceremony. Simply email this website and let us know the name of the person being remembered and how many people will be attending, in their honor.
